Default grinding in neutral 97 ek

So my 97 ek grinds when it's in neutral. I replaced the throwout bearing and it's still grinding so I'm not sure what to do now. The manual says it's either the input shaft or throwout bearing. So should I replace the input shaft or should I be checking something else? Thanks

Input shaft bearing and/or other transmission main bearing

throwout bearings are only used when you press in the clutch and isnt used when you let off the clutch. if its in nuetral with the clutch out, then its probably the input shaft bearing

Indeed. Replace the Input Shaft bearing, and you should be good. It is the only possibility at this point considering you already replaced the throwout bearing.....
