Well its finally time to step up and gain more power. I have been researching for a few months about building a NA motor or just do a bolt on low boost turbo system. Luckily, I was able to come up on a real good deal for the turbo system. I wanted to get some feedback and opinions on my setup from all you turbo guru's. This is my first turbo setup and my goal is to have a streetable, reliable, and fun daily driver setup. Not planning to boost more than 6.5lbs or whatever the stock wastegate settings are on the TD04 15G turbo. I purposely chose this setup because I want to use my stock B16 block. If I have the urge to boost more I will then commit to building another block and do it right the first time.
Here goes.
JDM B16a1 stock block recently compression tested 165 165 165 170
Greddy SOHC turbo kit with FMIC. but using a
HKS B Series Manifold - manifold uses an internal wastegate
ITR manifold
GSR cams
Blitz BOV
Hondata 2B and tuning
DSM 450cc injectors
Walbro 255lph intank fuel pump
B&M FPR
Autometer Boost, and Oil Pressure gauges.
Blitz DTT
92-93 Integ LS Tranny w/ Clutch Specialties clutch and AASCO 9lb flywheel
Dual radiator fan Pepboys special
Am I missing anything? What kind of power can I expect? anything that I missed to make it more reliable? How much boost can a stock b16 block handle?
NA setup was running 164whp 113tq....
Boosted setup?? 220-230whp possible? If so, I will be
for days.....
TIA

it bolts perfectly to the TD04 15 G ..Greddy turbo. I believe it uses the same flange as the t25.
#01ITR#700 has done this, but in a 00' Civic Si....Mine will be fitted to my 4door.
Here's a pic of his old setup....

That'a a lot of fuel for a TD04 on 6.5psi, but you can always tune it down. You can safely boost more than that though man, if I were in your shoes, I'd probably be boosting between 10psi and that turbos max, 1.0 bar...every day. If you are going to boost more than the 6.5psi, maybe some colder plugs and wires to ease your mind, but other than that, it looks ok. Just make sure you get it tuned so you aren't running rich as hell.

Thanks MatT3T4........Stock block daily driver 10psi daily? 1.0bar = 14.51 psi. which is max on that TD04 15g turbo. Hypothetically, if I wanted to boost 10lb daily.....which Manual Boost controller would you suggest? I've read about them all but would like to hear from people who has had real world experiences with them. I'm also running stock ignition with Blue NGK wires. Which plugs do you also suggest i should get? model #s? Defintely tuned right after the install.....TIA for all your feedback.

Ask Chris what we did with my B16A. I had a custom Rev Hard kit...ask him how many times we ran 1.0 bar up to 9,000rpm...he'll tell you.
As for plugs, I don't know any numbers, I'm sure someone else knows though. Just go one or two degrees colder. Boost controllers...GReddy Profec B. I don't like manual ones, but I LOVE the Profec B.
