Default 99 civic hx b16a build

hey honda-tech members so I just picked up a 99 civic hx 5 speed for my b16a motor that I've been itching to build. Ill post plenty of pictures as I go to keep it interesting.

I'm hoping some of you can help me out,I have been doing my research but haven't really found a very detailed page on the b16 hx swap. The car will have to have no engine lights for me to pass Mass state inspection. The only thing I'm really questionable on is wiring,I've heard its best to use my stock harness and just add a few wires...can anyone be more detailed about this??

Here's what I have so far.
-99 b16a engine complete
-96 LS transmission. (May be upgrading)
-intermediate half shaft
-b series linkage with shifter

And some other odds and ends that I may be forgetting.any positive input will be appreciated!

b series mounts
b series axles(almost positive ls axles are different then b seres vtec trans)

make sure u replace:
timing belt
waterpump
rear main seal
good isea to do clutch and flywheel

The motor is being rebuilt I have it apart right now.I'm doing type r high comp pistons as well with a new clutch on the way soon and an old flywheel resurfaced.

As far as axles I do know that integra axles work as long as there b series.

My hx motor (d16y5) is vtec..but because its the economy hx version is the vtec different?
You say I need to wire in vtec.

Pretty sure the vtec wiring is the same its just the solenoid that is different. So it should be plug and play, but look into wether your harness has a knock sensor, 8 pin or 10 pin dizzy plug and I believe the IACV will have to be converted to 3 wire to 2 or vice versa (cant remember). Use the link below theres a wealth of knowledge in there.

Would definately recommend sourcing a different transmission. The LS tranny is a terrible match to the B16A.

Also found this which helps me on the iacv issue.

----All 96-00 5-SPEED VTEC models (5-speed is the key here) mainly 96+ EX coupe & 99+ Si coupe and HX/D16Y5 engine, uses a 2-pin IACV, which explains the reason why you don't have to do this IACV fix if you wind up using an Si coupe or EX engine or HX (5-speed/MT) engine harness for your B-series engine swap.

Does anyone know what mounts I need? Do I have to buy the whole si mount kit or can I use any of my existing mounts?

UPDATE!

Well its been a long road, but finally im just about ready to drop this beast in let me fill you in.

The b16a2 has been completely rebuilt from bottom up and I've sourced a 96 GSR transmission to mate it.after many ebay part gatherings, junk yard runs and help from many friends I've gathered all that I need pretty much to drop this in.

The only part im still skeptical is wiring.im going to use, my 99 hx engine harness and an obd2 to obd1ecu jumper to run a chipped P28 until I have to pass mass state inspection next year then ill have to run an obd2 p2t ecu.
will I run into any problems running my engine harness with obd1? From what I understand I only need to run 1 o2 sensor and convert my 5 wire to 4 wire? Any more knowledgable info would be great!
