For those of you running water-meth injection, which method or mixture do you guys use?

After some research I have come down to ...

1. Boost Juice (Kinda expensive but pre-mixed)
2. Buying a gallon of Methanol and gallon of Dist. Water and make my own 50/50 mix.
3. Use -20F Washer Fluid (Cheap and premixed although not 50/50. I feel kinda skeptical about this for some reason...)

What do you guys use and think is a good option? Honestly, I am leaning (lol no pun ) towards no. 2 - buy a gal. of methanol and dist. water - mix my own sh**

 

i ran -20 when i was running around 22-23 psi for a while ran good never had a prob. When i turned it up to 30psi i switched to 50/50 methanol and dist. my a/f was around 10.8-11.0 till redline ran awesome .. my set up was skunk 2 head and forged piston and rods top mount t3 mani dbb 35r @ 30 psi for over a year

 

i buy 5 gallons at a time and make up my own 50/50 mix, ive been doing 75/25 recently though

 

100% meth

 

liquid HEET and water.. about 70/30 mix

 

I heard about this on the Ford forums while doing the google-search lol.

 

This is what I am most probably going to do cos after making some calls today, I found Methanol for $4.10 a gallon and Distilled Water for $0.98 a gallon so basically 2 gallons of water-meth 50/50 mix for $5.08 (incl. tax lol) - I'm a happy camper

 

why beat around the bush when the real stuff is cheap ?

 

i just use whatever is in my windsheild washer jug at the time...its usually a 50/50 mix and works fine.

Just wondering, what is the best way to store the 50/50 water-meth mix (after you have poured it into your gallon containers)? Is it ok to keep it in a safe corner somewhere in the garage? Can the 50/50 mix ignite in extreme weather? Just tryin to be safe...

 

just away from flames, 50/50 mix is safe, anything beyond that then you start getting into the volatile range
