Help! 90 integra rs auto randomly dying out, I need to go to work!!
Got a 90 auto integra rs that randomly dies out, biggest pain is when it dies out and Im driving. Sometimes it wont refire for up to 15 mins. Then if it does the idle is messed up and it doesnt want to run unless you floor it. Ive found the only way to get it running some times is to spray starter fluid in the intake. Proly not the best to do but when your in the middle of traffic its go time! Ive replaced the fuel filter, air filter, spark plugs and oil and tranny fluid.
The check engine light is on, but when I jump it to find the code, the light wont even come on. What the hell does that mean? code 0? Ive read other posts on here to check these things:
fuel pump relay
iacv
tps
ignition switch
cat
ignitor
distributor
Which one of these more than likely is my problem? Any input at this would help, because I use my car for work.

I know it sounds random but it could be a vacuum leak. The only reason I say that is because of the random idle. Have your car running and spray some carb cleaner around the intake mani gasket, Tb gasket. If your idle goes up after you spray a certain area that could be your issue.
Well that's a great idea, but now the car won't start at all. I'm gooing to autozone tomorrow to test the ignitor. I also noticed 2 out of 3 screws were on the distributor cap, and the seal just fell apart in to pieces. Maybe the cap isn't connecting the ignitor?
Also, I thought the when you switch the ignition to the on position, not starting, that you could hear the fuel pump priming. I just hear like a clicking sound, the starter works perfect. There was fuel at the filter, and i pulled the fpr and fuel came from there. I pulled the hose on the bottom of the fpr and it made a wierd gargling sound. Dont know if that normal. Is there a possibilty that the fuel pump has gone out? I have a fuel pump from a 95 integra will that work in a 90?
Do you hear the fuel pump priming when you turn the ign. switch to run, [not start].
When you tunr the ign. switch on you should hear the fuel pump running for a few sec., [priming] when the pump stops the CEL should go out. 94
