Default insulating an intake?

recently i was wondering if insulating an intake tube or CAI with the insulation* that ppl put on the bottom side of their hood who have turbos, would help the air coming through the tube keep cool from the engine bay heat? (turbo or not)

&has anyone else wondered?

*if not that sort of insulation, any other type of insulation..

A reflective wrap is useful when the air in the pipe is cooler then the under-hood temperatures. I use one on my blower intake pipe. In my case post blower would not be useful.
