Came out wouldn't start. Checked starter it was good. Battery is good so is timing belt. Checked fuses and relays to. Makes a wining noise Wen starting doesn't really sound like its cranking really need help. Please give me ideas.

 

Sounds like a bad starter solenoid, [not pushing pinion gear] or the fly wheel as teeth missing.

"wining noise"= starter motor spinning but not engaging fly wheel.

Turn engine over, by hand or roll car and pop clutch, [in gear] then try and start engine, if it grants your fly wheel has missing teeth if not it is the starter solenoid. 94

 

I had the starter tested it was good. The car is automatic so no popstart. I looked at the flywheel teeth where the starter was and didn't c any broken. Im lost.

 

My gsr ran one day and not the next I looked for all that could cause it till I found my distributor was bad replaced it and started up right away
or the easy way you might just need a tune up plugs wires

 

If the starter runs, and if that is the "wining noise" you hear, but engine does not turn over, [crank] then it can only be a problem with the starter or flywheel.

Can you tell where the whine is coming from, your not mistaking the whine the fuel pump makes when priming are you?

Try this, turn ign switch to run, [not start] you should hear the fuel pump running for a few sec., it will then turn off and the CEL in cluster will turn off, is that the whine you hear, [fuel pump priming for a few sec.] if not and the whine is only there when trying to start the car, have someone look at the alt. belt, [and/or A/C compressor belt] as you try and start the car, if engine is cranking the belts will move.

You can also pull the distributor cap off and see if rotor turns when trying to start the car. 94
