Default 550cc for 400whp is good?

Ok so I am helping my friend boost his prelude h22 and I would like to give him (for free) some 550cc I have but will it be enough for his 400whp plans?

With a higher base fuel pressure at the rail, it's possible.

^real informative post there noob. Smh

Even If you bump base pressure to 60psi you still won't have enough injector

Is it possible to get away with 550cc's? Yes with proper tuning, should you, no. It is always in your best interest to have the ability to flood the engine when needed. I know a few tuners that use it as a fail safe. Just my 2 cents

it's possible, just get it tuned or run with a good base map.

I wouldn't. You can probably pull it off at 90% injector duty, but is that smart? Not really.

Do it right, don't regret it later.

What about some 1000cc injectors? Are those too much injector for that kind of power?

550cc is to small....

believe it or not 100 horsepower to each cylinder in a honda is a ridiculous amount of power... dont cheap out on something as critical as an injector or you will be replacing your motor...

ID750s at the minimum but might as well get ID1000s because sooner or later 400whp isnt going to be enough and this individual is going to want 500whp lol

1,000cc would be fine. Not too much injector for that; it's actually about perfect.

550cc injectors will not support 400whp

To get a rough idea of the size you'll need, figure 6cc/whp.

400whp x 6cc/whp = 2400cc total
2400cc / 4 injectors = 600cc injectors at the absolute least

Go with some 720s or even 880s...that way you have room to grow

ID750's should be able to take care of you between 400-500hp without a problem of not having overhead
