Default Fuel lines, 500bhp D16z6.

right a friend of mine is running a vitara built D16 with PT 5857, 750cc injectors and a walbro 255 intank, hes got a bosch 044 to fit but is unsure of what fuel lines to run, hes aiming for around 500bhp, would stock lines be ok? any other help would be great.

-8 feed and -6 return, a lot of guys making 900hp with that fuel line setup. It might be too big for 500hp but at least your friend won't have to upgrade later on. But if 500hp is all he wants than stock should be fine, not on pump gas of course and depends on your injectors too.

true, or not without crazy base pressure and seriously high duty cycle.

im using all stock lines except for a -6 from the oem filter to the fuel rail. just made 475 no problems

Well yea but its a recipe for disaster. A jammed injector due to high duty cycle = bye bye engine. Like u say, its doable but not really smart

i made 450whp (just shy of 500 at the crank) on 100% stock fuel lines, old *** filter, and just a Walbro in tank on stock wiring. on my EJ6

i also made an estimated 400whp (never on the dyno, but ran 10.9 @ 127mph) with a Bosch 044 installed in tank on stock wiring and 100% stock fuel lines on my ED.

now i run two walbros and -6 AN from the hardline forward with an inline filter and -6AN return... but im shooting for 550whp+

right around 500hp is where u gotta start upgrading.

so what you think to 255 intank, stock line to 044, 044 to inline filter, inline filter to stock hardline, 6an off hardline to fuel rail?

^That is pretty much my setup right there. I'm shooting for 550whp on E85 this year.

My buddy made 600whp on E85 with a similar setup and when he switched to C16 he made 700 whp, all stock lines w/ an 044 inline between the filter and the rail.

-6 an will make 1000hp

Unless you are running e85, single walbro and 880-1000cc will suffice
