I'm sure its a NO, but Im looking for a engine harness for a 96-98 civic non-vtec, 5-spd and I have been looking on ebay for the last few weeks and I cant find one at a desent price. But I was wondering if you can use a auto harness instead in its place since thats all I can find.

 

I know on 1992-95 civics you can. Why don't you look up part numbers on Honda? Or look at an auto to manual swap write up for a 6th gen?

 

Yes, you can use it, but you'll have a couple extra plugs leftover for the shift solenoids. People who do manual conversions always keep their old harness.

 

^^^Thanks, I can always remove those plugs. But otherwise its just a plug and play?

 

Plug and play for the most part, but if this is going onto a Y8 engine, you're going to have to rewire the IACV because the Auto IACV is on the throttle body and the manual is on the manifold.
