Coil Check Help (I unplugged spark wires while running)
So like a dummy I unplugged spark plug wires to see what was going on with my idle but when i did my car died and now it wont start
did a search and found out this is a common way to blow your ignition coil
I tested mine and got between 0.9 and 1.1 ohms resistance depending on how i positioned the prongs on the primary test. should be 0.6-0.8 so that was no good I assumed.
I then went to buy a new one the brand was BWD I tested the new one and got the exact same resistance. So I returned the coil to find out more which is why I am on here
should I still replace the coil? could the brand BWD have a differnt spec that just so happens to be what im getting on the one currently in my car?
what else could have I done to my car? I checked spark and Its definitly not there
fuses are all good as well
