today the cd drive on my flip out **** the bed so im lookingfor a new one . i came across this Power Acoustik PTID-8000NR i have no personal experience with this particular brand. i did notice that it seems to be re-branded from other companies which i found odd like farenhight,sound stream, and NESA which ive never heard of maybe there all the same manufacturer ???

Well there is only like 4 manufacturer's of tv's I'm sure it's the same 4 that make car audio market ones as well. I would never buy any of there amps and subs but I couldn't see this screen being bad. I would shop around though, you'll probably find better for the same price.

Well its not a bad unit but not the greatest. They do stand behind there warrranty (power acoustic) NOt sure about the seller. If your going to spend that much. Save up and get a name brand with better features.

 

I believe its LG, Samsung, Sony, Phillips and Toshiba. I could be wrong and yes I know I said four. I forgot one when I posted it.

 

i really didn't want to spend more then 250 which is what the one without bluetooth cost. the name brands like alpine sony are in the 600 dollar range i would love to have one but i can't justify the cost. i just want something decently reliable . the jensen i had i bought used 5 years ago for loke 100 bucks it worked great until recently but i definitely got my money out of it and thats what im looking for now bang for buck.

 

The only difference in the highend stuff when it comes to lcd was dual scanning, so when your looking at it and you move to one side it doesn't fade out. This used to be the case, however this one and many others may not have that issue.

 

well i decided against the power acustic instead im probably going for a pioneer AVH-P 4200 there around 300-330 refurbished .

 

If your looking to spend under $300 you will not get a benz . But i would go with VALOR over any of the other low names. I have sold car audio for over 6 years. But spend the extra 150.00 and get a pioneer. They offer a base line unit that you can get online for 400.00 Good luck

 

That Pioneer is a LOT better unit.

Even Pioneer units are not great but over Power Acoustic... You will be glad you spent the few extra bucks in not only quality of sound but quality of the screen.

 

I'd have to agree and say that spending the extra money for the Pioneer is a wise decision. Good Luck with your audio build.
