Summer Slam @ Etown 11.50 Class
Thank you www.grs-motorsports.com for the video.
It's been almost two years since the last time I've been in the driver seat. We have been very busy at the shop with customer cars, the move to a new shop this month and concentrating on one shop car that I barely have time to work on my own car.
We decided to take out our all motor stock block K car and have some fun with it. After my first 11.9 pass, I knew that I can get this car dialed in to go even faster.
It was nice meeting new faces in the 11.50 class. This shows that this sport is alive and alot of great people in all of the classes, not just SFWD ;-)
Alot of tough competition in this class!
11.50 Finals.

As for the shop car we qualified 3rd with a 9.7@161. We had some issues but figured out what they were at the end of the day.
It's a brand new set up in the car and we had no time to test it before the event. Unfortunately we used this event to test the car.
We have all of July to get the car dialed in before the next race at Import Revolution.
Here's a video of the third qualifier. We broke the welds on our intercooler in second gear. Log showed that pass held steady at 24lbs. We are usually in the 45-47lb range.
We welded it for the first round of eliminations and was able to make it, however we forgot to tighten the vband clamp on the compressor housing which led to no boost on the pass. Lesson learned... we rushed to make the round.

We will be 100% ready for the next event!!!
We would like to thank our sponsors. Without them we wouldn't be where we are today!
