"Breather chamber?" I think that USDM-R had breather box all years, I tracked through here.

They all have it. JDM and USDM. In fact all the B-series VTEC engines have them. Haven't personally seen the Pre-OBD engines though...

Just keep in mind that each of them is different for the B16, GSR/SiR-G and Type-R. I got a P30 one from a B16 for cheap and I tried installing it on my R. Didn't work. All the bolts and brackets for the intake manifold and header that hold it on are different.

Plus the GSR breather actually has the PCV valve pluged into the top of it. That means none of the holes match up.

ok thanks! I was asking cause I though the 00-01 didn't have it... I bought a JDM itr engine and I was told it's a 2000 and when I found out the breather can in the back, I wanna make sure they didn't sell me an earlier model...

I just order the plug from Z10 to remove the can... On my other block I had to remove it and modified it to delete the pcv @$%?!! thing that bring the oil in the intake...

Next time just do a quick search on a parts website. They will show/list all the parts for a given year/model/trim/etc...

Here's the "breather" section for a 00 ITR.

BTW: For a time I ran a clear line from my PCV to my intake manifold. And while I could see a little oil down by the PCV valve, it looked like nothing was making it's way up to the manifold. Of course I don't race, and only hit 8k once or twice a drive (maybe less)...

Also, the line from valve cover to my intake is bone dry and clear as glass.

Thrust me, when you race it make it's way... Especialy when cornering left! The breather get overfill and push the oil through the pcv... I have try different set of catch can and only solve the prob when pluggin the black box and run a catch can from vc... I know that somme people have succes with the endyn style catch can that run 2 hoses from nipple found on prelude block and run it to a catch can. This set up need a return otherwise the can get fill fast and puke everywhere... there's a couple thread on this on the forum...

There are also some oversized catch cans that sit where your battery goes. They have 3 vents on top and 4 inlets. Two go to the back of the block, and two go to the valve cover vents like you said. This looks very nice for a full race car. I'm sure it costs an arm and leg to get all the parts though...
