Brake light always on!!!!
The parking brake cable has an adjustment at the bottom of the lever. Sounds like yours is too tight, and is still yanking the rear brakes enough to keep the light on when the lever is down. Loosen it a bit. Check your brake fluid as well.

yeah, i heard some bitch at checker auto (kragen) talking bout how her 92 civic hatch use to have the brake light on... the tech guy refilled her brake fluid and the light went off.
[QUOTE]Sounds like you're low on brake fluid. Check level.

yeah check the fluid level it might also indicate your brake pads are wearing/worn down which could lower the fluid level also...

could this maybe be caused by warped rotors? If they were warped enough it could cause the brakes to rub right? Or am I reading into it too much?
I had the same problem. The e-brake light would come on whenever the engine was cold and eventually went away after the engine was warmed up. I checked the brake fluid level and it looked fine. It was between min and max level. Nevertheless, I added more brake fluid to the max level and the problem went away. I would suggest you try the same, bring the fluid up to the top (max) and see if it helps.
same thing just happened to me yesterday. my brake light goes on when its cold. it goes away when i step on the brakes, then comes back on when i gas it. it goes away when the car warms up though. it happened right after i put in a gasket that went after downpipe/before cat. i think i was moving the exhaust piping around too much and may have moved a line or something
