Unusual trouble with '95 Prelude
So, I recently purchased a 'lude with a H22A1, completely stock, save for an aftermarket alarm system. It has run very well for the most part. Every once and a while the dashboard would flicker off and on, and then would be fine for a while. Last week the same thing happened, the dashboard flickered off, but never came back on, and the engine died. The rest of the electrical system works fine, i.e. headlights, stereo, horn, etc. I am able to crank it, but it isn't getting spark, I imagine. I checked all the fuse boxes and all seem to be in working order. All of this happened of course in the middle of the night, so I had very limited visibility, so there was very little I could do. Since I was out of town, I had to tow it to my girlfriend's house, and it has been sitting there over the weekend, because I haven't had a chance to go work on it.
So, after checking the fuses, my next guess is that either the alarm system has gone south, or that something more serious is at hand. I'm guessing that I'm looking either at the starter cut relay has gone bad, or that I'm looking at an even bigger problem. I would love some advice as I'm quite limited on funds at present, and am looking at fixing this myself. And just as an added bonus, I'm on a short deadline to have the car running.
Please send any help/advice you can! Thanks!

i'd check the ground on your battery terminal. make sure there's no corrosion on it. you could have enough of a connection to have enough grounding for lights and other small things and not have enough for running the car.
besides that, there are a lot of wires you can check.
