Post 96 accord engine flooded?

ok so i recently had my brake lines and fuel lines replaced and got the car back friday picked up from mechanic drove home fine and sat in my garage overnight started right up in the morning i drove it about 20-30 miles highway and a 55mph road in my town as i was driving i had no problems but when i finally came to to a stop light about 15-20 min after startup the motor started to sputter like i was runnin out of ga (had a 1/4 tank so it wasnt runing out) so i pulled over when i stopped the car turned off when i turned the key it would crank but not turn over so i gave it some gas and it came on but when i released the gas it turned off brought it to the mechanic that had replaced the lines and said it had been flooded there was fuel in the spark plugs... so my question is what would cause this ? and does it have something to do with possible faulty repair of fuel lines (hard lines that run front to back) or something else.. please give me some insite if you know whats going on, thanks

How much of this are you wanting/willing to do yourself?

First off the wall guess....replacing rusted lines has knocked dirt/rust loose...replace the fuel filter....or was that done?...I know you say "the mechanic that had replaced the lines and said it had been flooded there was fuel in the spark plugs"......but can you confirm?

Well, that maybe what "he" did. on the 4 cyl, you should be able to see the top of the filter from under the hood, kind of below the brake master cyl. The link below should have some pic's to help locate it and how to change...how ever since it is fine now?????
