You need a good kick square in the *****.


The car broke a timing belt on his way home. Took it to the Acura dealership where they put a new belt on but did no other diagnosis on the car.

The car died when he was stopping to get gas. Poor guy had to stop and ask my buddy and I for help. After spending an hour or two on the car, we found that it was getting spark and fuel, however it was not starting. It was leaking oil around the outside of the head and was overheating he said.

I don't know the slightest thing about Honda's, but my guess is it did not have compression. All we had were our cobbler mallets, so we couldn't run a compression test.

Now the poor guy is stranded at a gas station waiting for help.

Hope someone can help this guy out or, if the Honda community is like any of the car communities I frequent, somehow make things right.

Damn that is terrible, I wish the guy best of luck. I've been stuck like that before... and believe me it's a horrible feeling.

 

sounds like he didnt take his time to inspect the car correctly, fool me with that many problems shame on me!

 

I'm sure the person who sold it to him knew the timing belt would snap right. Why would you assume that everyone who owns a Honda comes here and that we would know them if they did. Go back to your other car site and quit pissing in the wind.

 

i just bought one and 3 days later it spun a rod bearing. Found the PO took the check engine bulb out.
