Default swap info, d15vtec swap for eks

I am having a hard time finding a tutorial on swapping obd2 d15vtec engines into obd2 eks.
specifically modifying a non vtec model to run this engine as factory.
has anyone accomplished this? is there a walk through available for this swap?
this is an obd2 d15vtec.

thanks in advance

and because everyone likes threads with pix...

I am looking for obd2 specific swap info for the d15vtec. most of the information i have found pertains to obd1 engines in egs or using a step harness to obd1 in an ek.
I would like to run this engine using the p2j ecu and wire it as close to stock as possible.
in terms of a specific problem i am having, i need to know what wiring modifications need to be made, ie sensor locations are different and i believe there is an egr on the d15 that is not used on the stock y7

thanks for your help.

make sure u have a crank position sensor by the crank if not your going to need a y8 oil pump, pick up and pan to utilize this sensor. without it wont run correctly and say u have a constant misfire. also consider if u have a 3 wire or 2 wire iacv. if its 3 valve its mounted on the throttle body. if its a 2 wire and u have a 3 wire harness u need to convert to 2 wire. there's many write ups for that. best bet would be to buy a hx harness. most people disconnect and don't run the egr valve they rarely work anyway. just plug everything in that u have and tell us what ur missing or what codes your throwing and we can best help you that way. thre probably isn't any tutorials because this motor isn't worth the trouble and 3 stage vtec is gay and over rated. Vtec-E is for economy not performance. i don't know why anyone would swap this motor unless your trying to get close to 40mpg on your daily driver. that's all this motor is good for. the few extra hp it makes over the y8 and z6 isn't enough to even notice.

I don't think the P2J ECU looks for a crank sensor if you choose the P2J route. I know some people have used a P72 ECU as well and wired the secondary solenoid to the IAB circuit. As for the IACV I'm not sure what the P2J ECU looks for but a P72 definitely will look for a two wire.

Cool, appreciate the info. As to why I chose this motor, car is a daily driver and I see it as an ex engine that if setup right, can get far better gas mpgs. from a strictly hp performance stand point the swap wouldn't be worth the trouble. I will update if I run into trouble, generally I just like to have as muchh info ready during the swap, that's all.
