Ahh... Reminds me of the 20 foot tall wing days... and more recent days past of the body kits.

I've been rusting a few rat rod's for decades - it's surely nothing new.

 

I thought the fad was dead already. It looks like complete **** that's for sure.

 

People do it for the same reason girls hang out with fat ugly girls, to make themselves look better. See if someone has a shitty looking car they will rust the hood to make the rest of the car look better. People say "that car would be clean if it wasn't for the hood" but in realality it looks like a pieced together car otherwise.

 

my homie has one **** looks stupid..especially when it rains and the rust drips all along hia bumper n fenders..hw insisted on not painting his hood

if thats whats cool nowadays ive had a couple cars that were fresh then lol.
personally my opinion is rust = bad and looks like ****..maybe thats why the vw guys do it ha ha ha..

sure as hell isn't something I would do to my hood and it isn't my taste but I think it has its character like the rest of the fads do

 

i personally dont mind it on a handful of cars, but its really hard to pull off on a honda, and i t annoys me when people put one on their otherwise super clean cars. I prefer patina over just straight rust, but honda owners havent caught onto that yet....
