Ok, so im in need of and LSD transmission and put an ad up in the marketplace. There was a brand spankin new member that signed up to contact me saying he has an ITR trans cusco lsd and a 4.4 final, asking 1200$

So i guess my question is what are your thoughts on cusco LSDs?. i did i little research this morning for about an hour on the diffrences between say a quaife vs. cusco. I think i would really perfer quaife for reliability, but this will most likely be a car for the strip. set up will be H2B if that matters. thanks

 

They are great for road racing applications. As far as drag, I would go with a Helical LSD. A lot easier to maintain since it has no clutches that wear over time. Cusco does have the Type MZ that has 2 more additional clutch plates over the RS model that use 8. So if it is an Type MZ it will have more durability over the RS model. I would suggest a Helical though.

 

Ok thanks, i might pick it up if its the MZ and if he has any receipts of any sort asking mabye 1000$. How much would a shop like yours charge to just crack it open and inspect mabye with him on site if he's willing? you can pm me that if you like. thanks
