Newer to hondas possible build help

Default Newer to hondas possible build help

Hello all. I currently have a B16A Gen 1 ef civic, and i am a previous muscle car owner and think this car is stupid slow. I found a guy that will sell me a B16A gen 1 block that i can build, but i am curious how much money would it take for me to get this block to hit at least 13's mid to low. I have about a budget of 3k to build the block could go as high as 4k but anymore then that and i would buy an srt4 instead.

Ok Do this... B20 Block, CP Pistons. Used CTR Cams ITR Intake Manifold, OMNI TB, Some H22 Injectors.. or some 310cc, Tune on a Hondata with a New Clutch lets say a Competition Clutch 6 puck and some RMF Style Headers... and you will very suprised that set up on slicks will run 12's

So basically b20v then? I dont want to get something that will be ruined in a year though. I have read around that LS/Vtec is powerful yes but not very reliable. If a b16 is not able to hit 13's with 3-4k then im done with hondas it will be a daily driver then.
