Icon2 oxygen sensor

is an o2 sensor for a sohc Honda the same as a b series o2 sensor? rywire sells an o2 sensor and says its for a d series and b series but other part manufacturers i look up the part number between the sohc and dohc dont match

Maybe you should be asking Rywire why their part numbers don't match up.

The year makes a difference (obd 0 , or obd 1 or obd2) and the plug for the vehicle. Nothing else.

autozone wants $115 and jhp has it for 65. i have a brand new one but it was for my sohc but still obd1 so ill just stick with that

OBD1 4 wire O2 sensors are all the same, with the difference only being the length of wire to the connector (and thus a different part number). Most universal 4 wire O2 sensors just use a longer length of wire so that it can fit more applications.

FYI do NOT buy the autozone "bosch" o2 junk. Get an NTK (made by NGK/OEM Honda) We have the universal 4 wire NTK for $79 http://www.hamotorsports.com/stntkoxse4wi.html

The bosch O2 is very slow in responding to air/fuel fluctuations while the NTK is fast responding which will help the ECU to make correct adjustments in closed loop.

I always use the Denso sensors and get them really cheap (usually 65 shipped) from Amazon.com. Like he said above don't use the Bosche sensors.
