92 honda accord, a bazillion miles on it. Ignition issue where when key is turned to start the motor there is one click and all power to accessories and lights goes off, and the engine doesnt turn over at all. When key is moved back one space lights come back. Lights have also randomly all died when just sitting in car with no key in. Theres a new distributor, alternator and starter motor that all work. Battery is good and voltage is getting to the starter motor. Were thinking ignition switch, but any other ideas would be helpful. Also, should I tint all my windows, buy a stage 3 body kit and a wing that will actually let me take off? VROOOOOOOOOOOOOOM VTEC!!!! Also, my boyfriend thinks recaro race seats would help. I kid, I kid. But seriously, any help with this ignition nightmare would help.

 

Have you tested your ignition switch?

Do you have any loose connections around the battery?

Are you a female? Got pics?

 

You state the starter is good. The battery is good. You have voltage to the starter...is this to both the large and small wire of the starter? If you've only tested the large cable-main battery supply.

Have your boyfriend turn the key to start and see if the small wire has voltage.
