Sounds reasonable to me...

You've exchanged oil pressure for a thicker oil barrier to protect bearings and crankshaft.

If you had a GSR, this could reduce oil squirter output - tho I don't 50 seems sufficient to me...

It could affect VTEC also, but again, 50psi doesn't seem low enough to cause worries.

What's your pressure at idle, at operating temps?

at idle 900 to 1k i have 10 psi when the car is cold i have 80 psi but when it heats up 10 to 14 psi is what i get,do you think it was a good idea to give the journals more clearance?

I wouldn't have - they're performance engines to start with and are designed to work well with close tolerances.

Still, it's done and you should be fine. Where it may cost you is that you'll reach end-of-life (too much clearance) sooner - always the tradeoff when you build for extremes.

I'd just keep an eye on it and deal with it when the pressure makes you uncomfortable - which shouldn't be anytime soon.

Enjoy the car, and your build.

Tell us more about what you put into the build... NA or boost? C.R., cams, pistons, etc.

Daily driver or ?

Thx - Mark

Sure!Its an n/a build daily driver,its a 95 sedan powered by a b18c sir-g motor and it has :pr3 pistons,arp rod bolts,cometic hg,the head has angles made and the ports are polished,msd coil,blox intake manifold,blox cam gears,blox stage 2 cams,hytech header,2 1/2 mandrel exhaust,chrome,68mm throtel,aem fuel reg,stock s80 tranny with exedy stage 1 clutch kit.
Im hoping to reach the 200 whp mark, the car cranked 178whp without the head work, cams, and pistons
P.s.i noticed that i had like 1/2quart to much oil and im thnking this coul be a cause to the low press, what car do you have?
