Battery gets REAL hot when both cables attached...
Guys, just drug home another challenge. Bought a 95 coupe ,non VTEC that has been sitting up for a LONG time. Previous owner said field mice had chewed on the wiring harness somewhere and now when cables attached the battery gets hot. Am headed out to trouble shoot in a bit and was wondering best way to trouble shoot. First glance underhood shows no obvious visual problems.
What fuse or fuses can I pull to split the electrical pathways. Can you separate, underhood, interior, trunk to help narrow down where the problem may be. I think the underhood fuse block would be the key place to start......thanks.....

Finally found two problems, brake light switch pad had dried up and fallen out, and a critter had chewed into one side of the brake lights and some wires were shorted together. New stop pad and spliced leads back together has solved cooking battery......thanks..
