iacv issue
i'm having an issue with my iacv and i'm kinda lost on what to do. anyways i just turboed my h23vtec lude and had it tuned on neptune. its throwing code 14 for the iacv so i got a new one because my old one was broken. i put the new one in and it still throws the code. i hooked a it up to 12v and it opens and closes. the yellow wire on it is getting power so i thought it was the blue/black wire so i re ran it to the ecu with a different wire and still nothing. i'm pretty clueless on what it could be. i wouldnt care so much about it but whenever i try taking off or even stay at a constant speed it started surging. it only does this when you give it about 5% throttle. if any one has any ideas please let me know. thank you.
dudeseraaa, you have too look at the final idle surge thread. if it's not you're iacv then you either have a vacuum leak, since it is turboed, or you have to fix your Fast idle thermo valve. once i messed with the fast idle thermo valve it solved my surging idle problems. now look up the fix on this forum and post whether it fixed your problem or not. it's located under the throttle body and has 2 coolant lines running to it. you take off the top and screw down the white plunger until it's tight, then back it out just a quarter turn.
Already read that thread and posted up on there. No on has responded and i cleaned everything out and still nothing. Also i have a bdl tb so i dont have a fast idle valve. I checked for vac leaks but will check again.
i know the code is looking for iacv, but that would also include the fitv. my question to you, have you had a CEL before noticing to problem? Hopefully its something small that'll fix your problem, if not check your TPS sensor, or throw on a FITV and see if it can regulate your idle.
yeah hopefully it is something small. ive had the tb for a few years and havent had a problem. im kinda leaning towards an electrical issue but i dont really have a clue.
