Icon6 Z6/Y8 help and instruction is need asap!!

So I have a 2000 civic Ex with a d16z6, and a y8 trany. Chipped Ecu with a p28 base map. I have a local tuner (my friend) The head has a bent valve or something so i found a good deal on another y8 head. So i was wondering what all i needed to get it to work.

1. Ok so will the z6 dizzy work with the y8 head? ive heard i wont work but can u can modify/ cut it and it will work. I originally bought a 0b2 to obd1 adapter to work with the z6 dizzy i kept my stock harness.

2. Will my z6 vtec solenoid work on the y8. The y8 head doesnt have a solenoid. And i know i need a head gasket obviously.

3. Will my skunk2 intake manifold fit the y8?

Ive heard the D-series is pretty interchangeable just wandering how much.

Idk a lot about single cams owned one for about 3 months but be sure to resurface everything including the block cuz Honda blocks warp very commonly and I'm almost 100% your manifold will fit I would also get a dizzy to match your head best option don't cut corners man always ends up bad quality is priceless

Z6 distributor internals will work but the distributor housing will not bolt up as is. Modification is necessary or housing swap can be done.

Solenoid is not interchangeable.

Manifold is interchangeable.

Valvecover is interchangeable.

If you're referring to using the cam gear on the Z6 head then yes it is interchangeable. Make sure you reference TDC according to the respective head, it's been a while but I believe my Skunk2 cam gear had separate marks for the Z6 and Y8.

The rocker arm ***. looks pretty dirty i shouldn be too worried about it should i?
another Question... are there suppose to be multiple studs for the intake manifold to bolt onto? this head only looks like it has 2 or three. can i just run bolts into the holes or should i buy some studs?

There should be at least 9 studs that mate the intake mani to the head. To be safe, buy new studs, shouldn`t cost more than $20 if that much. As for machining, I would say since your running a light boost, I would go and have it machined. It won`t hurt it. Than Than just make sure you get any remaining intake mani gasket off so the new one goes on clean. Lastly, the rocker, in theory can be cleaned with some carb cleaner. If you do do that, this may sound weird but, have the head upside down while you are spraying so the nastiness doesn`t get into the head. Go side to side about 3 times, let it drip and dry, than do that once more. Than you can take a few shop towels and wipe the crud off.
