Hey guys I just finished doing a b20 swap in my 99 Civic Ex. I used an Hx harness from an 99 being that my car was a shell and didn't come with an harness.
Now everything is wired up correctly but my fuel pump isn't priming and my check engine light isn't coming on when I put the ignition in the on position. I've check the fuses and relays any ideas?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

 

ran into this problem on a eg. the problem i found on mine was in the plugs from the motor harness to the cabin harness changed colors thru the plugs, had to repin to make the colors match on both sides of the plug. seems a lot of models use same colors of wire for same sensors however in different trim levels the colors travel thru the harness at different locations. hope that helps. if it doesnt have to do with this do a continuity test from the cel pin on the ecu plug to the the cel pin on the plug that goes to the cluster.

 

did you check too see if the cluster had a bulb in that spot? if you have a multimeter you can check for power and ground at the fuel pump, actually you can also use a light bulb.

 

I finally got this fixed. In 99 and 00 the Civic HX remained obd2a some how instead of converting to obd2b along with the rest of the 99-00 models. So a heads up to guys looking for a engine harness for their 99-00 All will work except the HX
