The alarm I installed had nonething but issues. Goes out of sync, pia to program, remote start is garbage. Get yourself a name brand alarm.
I agree. They are junk. And now they won't support you. Just try to call them and see what kind of response you get! They have dumped a bunch of alarms on the US and now refuse to support us! Stay away!
I HATE this alarm.
At first I believed this will be one of the new companies that will come on the market and will build up their reputation. Instead they mashed it up.
I bought a nice looking alarm, in terms of design, the Zenesis ZN-502RAS and installed it in my 2001 Honda Accord LX 4 door. It worked well for the first 24 hours, after that i started having problems with it.
The alarm would start going off by itself if i parked the car in a sunny uncovered parking lot. The moment that the inside temprature went over 90 F it would start beeping. That was the first thing. Then it would start going off in the winter when it was pretty cold.
Of course i believed that my problems were coming from the shock sensor. well i checked it and reposition the sensor on the frame using some plastic washers to reduce shocks made by metal and adjusted the shock sensor to minimum. The same problems over and over, but the last straw was when i woke up in the morning and i found the car engine running by itself. Kinda like in "Christine".
I waited couple more days and i actually noticed when the car would start by itself in the middle of the night. I have reset the alarm to factory settings, and it stopped starting the engine but th previous problems were still occurring. On top of that the LCD remote started giving error codes and i couldn't do anything with it.
Finally got in touch with the Zenesis through email and they told me to send the alarm to them while it was under warranty. Guess what ... I sent them the main computer/module and the faulty remote and it has been over 6 moths and i didn't receive anything back from them and now it is even impossible to get in touch with somebody to check what the hell is going on.
Considering that i have payed over $250 for this alarm i got screwed big time so what I want to say actually is that ...
DON"T EVER BUY A ZENESIS ALARM .... RUN FROM THEM LIKE THERE IS NO TOMORROW.
And as another guy put it ... buy a well known brand alarm.
