looks like the Aladdin, Compustar, etc.. anyway I've never heard of Autopage or had experience w/ them... I'd still stick w/ Clifford, Alpine or DEI/Viper but thats just me.. since I know nothing about the autopage/dont have experience (either personal or thru frenz).. I'm not going to tell you what to and what not to spend your money on...

Quality of construction, reliabilty and support make name brands better. Do you have a link to the exact alarm you are considering? We can tell you if it's good from a features standpoint.

Well I heard that they make a good alarm, just isn't available man places. Unless you know somebody who installed that particular model you never know how good the range will be on the pager. Let me guess, your friend bought it with the intention of installing it and realized it was over his head?

I'd say build quality, quality of design/internal components, security, warranty/standing by their product, reliability, ease of use, features, etc... like I said my family has been using Cliffords for like 20 yrs.. from cars like a 7 series to Civics and Integras (Lolz thats me)... and the Cliffords have been reliable.. never gave us any problems...

Yeah, pretty much. It's the 750LCD model. I'm also looking at a Clifford 600? model. Does that sound right?

Ya, Clifford Concept 600, it offers more security but no flashy LCD.

So is the pager and the LCD the main difference? I'm guessing the Clifford doesn't have remote start either? Is that even legal in a manual?

Yes, that's the main difference. If you want remote start than get the Solaris, it has built-in remote start that works with manual trannies. You have to get out of the car and leave it running, arm to shut it off and then you can remote start. You would have to add a couple sensors and window module to equal the Concept 600.
