I have a 95 eg civic with a h22a4 and my tranny is shittin out on me so i was wondering if a f22b2 tranny will make me slower or faster cause i know it has longer gears but will that help or no... or if someone can tell me what accord tranny will be the best gain for my motor thanks.

 

Longer gears=slower.

 

the only thing it would be good for would be to take out the 5th gear and put it into a h22 trans for a better mpg 5th gear!

 

so i would be slower.... but if the gears were longer wouldn't it kick vtec for longer

 

And still be slower.

 

how? can you tell me why it will be slower or is that all the info you have???

 

Doesn't matter if you think you'll be in VTEC longer.

 

longer gears = higher top speed, slower acceleration
shorter gears = lower top speed, faster acceleration
