I think I have a bad ecu, and am throwing a code 22 (vtec system malfunction). I think its my ecu. Can I install a VAFC or Fields Vtec controller and bypass the ecu to engage vtec, even though my ecu wont engage it? Someone help!!

 

i think if u hook up a playstation 2 to it, and put in jonhmadden 2203 it will scare teh ecu in to vtec mode. then after that hit start. then after that get a delta flight computer, type in the vtec destination, but dont forget to hit run start or the dispatcher wont work. thats waht i would do, or just get a a ecu.

 

i know this is a general question but have you checked your oil. If you get to low the vtec pressure switch won't come on and it will prevent vtec from engaging
