I have a tendency to go fast while im driving and so I always push the gas pedal all the way down to the floor (literally). I was wondering if this has any negative effects on the life of the engine, gas consumption, or any other bad things to doing this?

If it is, this person should not be allowed to own or operate a vehicle..

 

will increase fuel consumption, it will cause more wear on the engine and drive train.

 

If your car is an automatic, expect your transmission to go bye bye sooner than expected.

 

regardless of throttle position you should always get 32+ MPG... If not you should get a tuneup asap
