go to a Honda dealer with your registration and ID. They'll cut you a new one. It shouldn't be more than $10-$20.

Please keep in mind that buying a replacement based on your VIN will only work if the lock cylinder(s) has not been replaced.

The key cost me $7 last time I had one made.

I once lost my key. I had no ride and the dealer was far
You could try this...
Take a key that hasnt been cut yet.
Take a lighter and burn the key so that it has that black stuff on it.
put it in your ign. Move it around and you should have your key to take to get cut.

Just dont touch it lol

If you have no ride how do you take it to get cut?
Is this technique something you have actually done? Doesn't seem accurate to me.

Okay, because your first reply makes it sound like you know it works.

I find it hard to believe tbh and it could possibly damage the lock cylinder, which could screw you harder than just losing a key.

I agree with what others have said; going to the dealership with the registration and matching vin works best. I know from personal experience that you can call a locksmith and they can create a new key from wiggling a blank in the lock and using a file...it's going to cost you some $$$. Thank goodness for AAA
