Icon2 Suspension Questions!

I got a few questions about my EF.. Every time i make sharp turns and i hit bumps my steering wheel just goes crazy shaky!
Ive told a couple of my friends that are builders and they say it might be my rack&opinion (however you call it) but i honestly don't know.
I know my shocks are out bc i bounce all over the place.
If anyone has an idea please do tell, i am thinking of doing a whole suspension makeover for my car before i do an engine swap.
I really don't know much about suspension that much but i want a stiff and slammed ride, i plan on doing some tugging in the future.
Any help will be appreciated, Thanks!

One thing that is overlooked a lot are the wheel bearings. A quick way to test is to jack up the car, and grab the top/bottom of the tire, wiggle, and if you have play, you're wheel bearing is shot.

That will cause all sorts of vibration, that, and alignment issues.

Usually you can hear a wheel bearing. Probably just a bunch of old crusty busted bushings.

Yea there shouldn't be any wiggle room when the tire is up off the ground. I'm not too familiar with the rack and pinion, i've never had to replace one or work on one.

@ThatRicerDaniel - I wouldn't doubt that either, I am literally the 2nd owner and the original did not change anything at all from what i can see.

@4g4dcruisin - Ahh ok, i will test it out and see what results i get.

If you are talking about the click noise that would be the axle boot.

Power steering or not?

It probably is your steering rack if you're having excess motion in the wheel.
