Default Suspension Trouble Shooting

Ok, so my suspension is shot, i get what feels like wheel hop durring hard cornering, still get real wheel hop when launching, even after i installed a JimFab.com traction bar, And my suspension just feels shot in general, the car feels like its going to fall apart going over any kind of bumpy roads or speed bumps.

Im really a newb to suspension. ive done some reaserch, and understand some of the concepts as far as performance, but i really need to do some maintenance, and get the car in good shape before i start thinking about performance.

Can anyone please let me know what i can look for to see were my problems lie? like how to i tell if my bushings are shot, shocks blown, or anything else that may be a problem? and possibly how i could go about fixing it.

BTW: ive got a good bit of experience working on the car myself, just none on the suspension, so you dont need to baby me TOO much and thanks for any help!

It sounds like your shocks and springs could be shot. To check the shocks, push on your fenders to see if there's a lot of rebound, and then look at the shafts to see if there is any oil leaking out.

Im guessing since you say your a newb to suspension that your riding on blown stock dampers. What are you planning with the car? Drag, autox, road/track ?

current setup is all stock with ~130k miles on it

only modification suspension wise is a JimFab.com traction bar

plan for the car is mostly a daily driver with the occasional weekend at the track, both autoX, road course, and drag, with no particular emphasis on any of them.

I had planned on getting Tein SS, but am worried that it might not solve my problem and would rather make sure that my only problem is the shocks before investing the cash in them

ill go do some snooping around the shocks, and some pushing on the fender when i get home

You shouldnt be driving hard with a blown stock suspension plus a traction bar. Understeer monster!
I would look into koni/ground control
