Default Transmission help for my 1982 Civic 1300

Can anybody here tell me or perhaps show me, how to remove the transmission? By showing I mean like a website or something like that. Also I've heard that the 5 speed tranny from the 1500 civic will fit in the 1300 civic. Is that true? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

You need to buy a Haynes manual. There is nothing on line. I have searched for hours for it.

You can pull the tranny from the bottom of the car but is is a pain. It may be easier to pull the entire motor / trans assembly. That is what I did.

The 80-83 DX /GL 5 speed is a direct retrofit. The 1300 FE 5 speed will also fit.

One of these days when I am retired I will write up DYI procedures on this gen. It is the forgotten gen it seems to me.

I love the 2nd gen as it was the first new car I ever owned.
