98 civic ex/b18b1 non-vtec/b16 tranny - which ecu am i supposed to have?
My car is a 1998 honda civic ex with a b18b1 non vtec and a b16 trans. I'm running a virgin po6 with an obd1 conversion. When I bought my car I could either get a p75 or a po6 and he said it ran better with the po6. I'm not thinking so.. the car is kinda sluggish up until about 4k the seems to fully engage. Do I have the wrong ecu?
Alright sounds good.
And while this thread is going.. what harness' would fit in my car? There are a couple EG civics and a 92 teggy at the local junk yard and I need a new harness bad.

obd 2 integra and del sol... obd 1 woundnt work come conectors are different(well at least the alternator and distributor connector is different... IT HAS TO BE OBD2

yea p75 ecu for sure. im doing a obd2 b18b1 swap in my 97 dx 4 door soon and im gonna be runnin a p75 ecu with a stepdown so i can tune and chip it. but definitely a p75 because stock the ecu is made for that engine specifically.
So do I need to get an obd1 or 2 ecu? I already have a obd1 conversion harness so I'm assuming obd2?
If you have an OBD2A->OBD1 harness then get an OBD1 ECU. If you don't want to use the harness then get an OBD2A ecu. OBD1 ecu you can chip and tune if you wanted to. Do you have a second O2 sensor (after the cat, if you have one)?
So I just ordered a p75 ecu out of a 99 integra that apperntally has an ignition lockout on it. Does anyone have any info on how to bypass it?
