1995 civic h22 vtec oil pressure switch question

i have jdm h22a and have problems with code 22... when i wired the switch up(i didnt bypass it) i realize today that i possible have power and ground to the switch mix up... is that gonna effect the switch from operating

it also does not rev passed 5800 rpm help please

just wire the oil pressure switch into the vtec solenoid wire if you know you have good pressure...
