I have a 00' Si B16 trans that I want to have a ATS 4.9 final drive and Wavetrac LSD installed into. The final drive and LSD are the bigger size, meaning they are for GSR/ITR trans. I have purchased the Japanese ITR 1st gear, distance collar, and needle bearing, because that is what the ATS 4.9 needs to install into my trans. I also have a GSR 5th gear (counter and main gear) that I want to put in as well.

My question is, did I get all the necessary parts for all of this to work together? All parts are brand new. As for diff bearings, will I need to have them replaced? I am switching out from a B16 open diff to a Wavetrac ITR LSD.

I'm a n00b to all of this stuff, but have had some of these parts for years and barely getting to finally use it. Thanks for anyone's input!

 

You will also need to replace the diff bearings to the GSR/ITR style bearings.

 

Can you pm me where you got your needle bearings for the swap? I have the ats fd in my itr tranny and will rebuild it soon. I would like to use new bearings. Also will you sell your b16 1st gear that you swap with the jdm one? Thanks!
