heh, no where nearly as bad as when i raced a zo6 and then a supra tt. i did notice how much closer to the ground the supra's exhaust piping was than mine...he had like 2" of clearance vs. my 3".
Ya, that would help. Make sure to take it into redline if using the stock tach, because it is incorrect. I can shift up at 8. 95 M3 have the least torque for that generation, in 96 displacement jumped up to 3.2L. and if its auto try to race it from a roll. here is the specs on a 95 M3.
240hp
225lb-ft
3240 curb weight.

you've got his *** of the line, BMW automatics suck, i had one, still do actually (not an M3, but an auto BMW) i/ve got a friend with an auto, and i have driven newer ones. DO NOT RACE ON A ROLL, YOU WILL LOOSE!!!! if you wanna win, race him from a dead stop, that's your only chance, but even then, you'll probably loose.

what do u mean the stock tach is incorrect? i usually shift from 1st to 2nd at 7300 rpm...it can go higher?
automatic m3's work fine.. a 2000 prelude sh couldn't launch on it either.. lol .. you got rear wheel drive vs front wheel drive.. if the person in the m3 knows how to launch.. she/he will kick your ***.. even after IHE and a shot.. i still doubt you'd have a chance.. and god forbid the m3 had a shot or work on it..

it's at the rev limiter, no it's not bad, as long as you don't hit the limiter. i do it all the time. it's hard to learn, but i ended up buying and autometer tach witha shift light, which helped out tremendously. it's so much easier to get a good shift while still keeping all your attetnion to the road/track.
i think u might have a little of a chance. try to get a few mods before u race him and itll be alot closer. im not completely sure, but i am also a prelude fan not a bmw.
