OBD2B B16A2 w/P2T ECU swap into EG hatch
Ok...I dropped a B16A2 into my 92 VX hatch, everything went well. But now im stuck on a electricl connection. The motor is right out of a 2000 SIR(insurance write off) I have the stock SIR engine harness, P2T ECU, etc. I want to use the OBD2B system, I don't want to revert to OBD1. My problem is the connection going to the under dash fuse box from the engine harness(see pics) 1st pic is the fuse box end, 2nd is the stock engine harness. Does anybody know of a jumper to mate the 2 or do I need to rewire the dash to fit the rest of the harness? Any advice, opinions or comments would be greatly appreciated!
aww man if you get this to work let me know! because im getting a 00' b16a2 motor and wanted to do this swap, but i dont know if it'll be able to get bar'd here in cali...good luck with the swap. as for those plugs what are they for/connected to? if its the distributor you can get a jumper harness for it
Aw **** I am having the same problem right now!!!!! I kinda figured that you will need a 96-99 GSR harness or have the stock harness and just wire in vtec and knock but since you don't wanna convert I really don't know what do it. Funny because I pretty much have the same picture you posted too.
You can't use the SiR engine harness, period. Sell it to someone doing a swap in a '99 - '00 Civic. Reuse the original harness and modify it to fit, or get one from a '96 - '99 Integra. If you want to run the P2T ECU you'll need to use a jumper harness and wire in the CKF sensor (or perform the CKF trick) and you'll need to swap the gas tank from one with a fuel tank pressure sensor (or wire in a potentiometer to fool the ECU) It's much easier to simply run an OBD1 B16A ECU (P30).
