Where can I get hardware for a SI/EX Lip?
Hey everyone, I've never really had the proper hardware for my OEM lip ever since I got my car and it just bugs me how it doesn't sit right. Now if I was to buy them at Honda it would be a bit expensive and wouldn't work in my case because my tabs are a damaged.
Basically I need something that I can stick in so to hold the lip, something like a washer. On top of it and under
Any ideas? Preferably some that would keep the weight down by not using 2 steel washers per hole you know? Maybe using some sort of clip. Thanks!
This is what some of them look like.

If i were you, i would do two things.....
1st, fix the tabs on your front lip. It's easier than you think. You can melt extra plastic and close those loops up again. Use something like zip tie plastic, it seems to work ok.
2nd, Yea, you can buy hardware at the Honda dealer, and yes, it's pricey. I have found that 9 out of 10 oem Honda lips all use the same hardware, and because it's good quality, you can find bolts/clips/tabs from cars at the junk yard for next to nothing or free all together. Easy finds are 90-97 Accords, any year Vigor or Legend......good luck!

Last time i was at the junk yard for hardware, i bought the complete set of clips off a 92 Accord oem front lip..parts look like new still...cost $2 total
This is what I use when the tabs are broken

And hit it with some of this while its off the car

Then take the $33 you saved on installing an ashy lip with OEM hardware and go get some beer

Yeah thats what I had in mind, just some bigger ones.
Yeah I couldn't find them at Lowes but Ill try Home Depot next!
Yet they were rusty as hell lol. Trying to keep it fresh here! More importantly though, I want something other than OEM because my tabs aren't normal so they wouldn't work as good you know?
Im with this guy!! Yeah Ill be refinishing it, you guys will see.
Thanks for the replies everyone so far!

i just put my lip on yesterday and it was broke like yours. but i just did some plastic welding on the tabs and it worked perfect. and for mounting i just used a bolt and washer combo for the tabs on my bumper that were messed up
