Spoon N1 Exhaust + Turbo Thoughts?
Hey guys, i wanna know if spoon n1 able on a turboed civic?
from what i've read the latest versions of n1's are 63MM or 2.48"
and i thought 2.5" is good till 250whp +/- right?
what are your thoughts about this setup?

turbo cars in my opinion love to "breath"
i have a spoon n1 on my ITR that is still NA and i think its a tad bit restrictive (my setup is a k series).
for a turbo car i would look into something bigger. not saying the n1 wont work, just dont think it will net you the best power...

Exhausts are like aerodynamics you can make XXX HP but the pressure will be higher. Anything over 300hp IMO and you need to go up from 2.5" that said, it also depends on the length and design of the system.
Alright thanks guys, well its basically only going to be a minor race car, and a daily drive, so i prefer a little less power over annoyingly loud exhausts for example
so i guess my final decision will just be picking spoon n1, and if i find it too restrictive, i'll just resell and buy a new one with perhaps a little loss (idc
)
i guess that an full exhaust system 2.5" would do, right?
Edit: does turbo lowers the sound of the exhaust? i've read that on a dutch honda civic forum

wait, you dont want a loud car but your ordering one of the loudest systems on the market? that makes no sense. just get a 3in system and be done because, yes. turbo's make it quieter
Lol
yea i found it quite loud already, but thats mostly when going into higher revs, when ur just cruising at low rpms the noise is acceptable, it just has this unique sound with it, different from most exhausts out there i love it
Will the turbo affect the sound alot or? just minor changes

I have a 3" diameter exhaust that is about 12" long, no muffler, and it's quieter than my friends N/A car that has a magnaflow muffler. Cruising around, mine is louder, but full throttle, his is louder...so yes, turbo makes quite a big difference. In the state of michigan, a turbo is considered a muffler.
Lol awesome
that'll hopefully reduce the loudness to my preferance ;P
thanks for the heads up guys,
appreciate it
btw now since that this subject has been cleared, perhaps u know if gt28r(s) is available in a kit? im planning on riding 250whp -/+ and i've been told that they spool quite fast, and has some spot left for more hps
for a b16a2 btw
