Old hondata s2b
Hey guys, I have searched around and really can't find the answer I'm looking for anywhere. I have no clue about tuning but have a really simple question. I put together a street car and have been out of the game for a while. I used someones setup and old hondata s2b ecu. The car won't idle and shuts off when letting off gas so I think the ecu just needs an tps calibration. Is there anyway to still tune this old hondata ecu with the bridge and chip setup? I don't have the money to go to s300. Is there an another ecu program such as chrome or uberdata that i can tune with and burn a chip for the ecu just like the old days so I don't have to spend money and get another ecu modified?
No with hondata you have to set the throttle percentage at closed and open throttle. The ecu wasn't tuned with my setup therefore if it's off the problems I am having may occur. With a stock ecu yes it can be calibrated with a voltmeter. Not to mention I have no idea what the minimum idle or IACV duty are set too.
With the old romeditor that s2b came with (if I remember correctly). The tps calibration settings were not in the software for the romeditor which was available at the time.
You need to calibrate the tps to .45 volts at 0% throttle and 4.5 volts at 100% throttle on the signal wire (middle wire).
IACV duty was also not a feature back when s2b was out (if I remember correctly).
I believe the problems you are experiencing is that you are using an ecu/engine management that isn't tuned for your specific setup. Furthermore you may have other underlying issues which really may need to be diagnosed in person.
Upgrading to s300 is $395 & worth every penny.
