Default Dead cig lighter

I have a 94 wagon and for some reason the cigarette lighter doesn't work. The light for it doesn't illuminate either. I have checked all of the fuses and they are all fine. Instead of trying to track down where the connection is broken I was thinking of just running a new wire. Does anyone have any ideas of where I could get power from or where the break may be?

Thanks

This went out in my '90 LX. The wires right behind the lighter were a bit cooked. I would just pull it out and check there.

I took the console apart and saw nothing obviously out of the ordinary back there. It could be that the wiring is messed up inside the harness. I don't know as I didn't cut it apart. I'm outside cleaning it right now so maybe I'll take it apart and have a closer looksee.

Can you post a picture of the wire?

Have you checked the fuses? I had an issue with the cig lighter not long ago and found it to be a burnt fuse.

All of the fuses seem to be good. I'll take a picture of the wiring today. I think the light for the ashtray is out too so it's probably a common cause. As I recall they are on the same branch of the harness.

If there is a connector on the wire for the lighter, you might be able to buy another one. What year is your accord?

I'm not sure if this helps, but I found a lighter and wire. It says it will fit your application. Good luck. http://www.autopartswarehouse.com/de...EPU506801.html
