if you couldnt work it out from the info in your last post, then we aint gonna be able to help you much more.
PLUS, if you do manage to get it to engage, your fuel maps will be WAYYYYYY off and your car will run like crap.
can you get a VTEC ecu??????
t..
PS this is not a flame

persistance,
i'd say your best apprach will be to get the VTEC ECU that suits your car, if this is to expensive, search hte internet for details on OBD conversions...
a quick fix will be hte shift light to relay to VTEC solenoid as described, you should be able to manage this...
the temple of VTEC link in hte last post should have been the most indepth assistance for you there...
waht is the VTEC ECU you have? cant you fit it into you car???
maybe if you posted a question about htat? (maybe you already have...)
give us some more info and let it flow from there...
t..
i have neer worked on 91 civic, but on my 92 (obd1) I am doing vtec head swap from a 96 (obd2). you will need a vtec ecu and a harness to convert it to your harness, or you can buy complete new replacement harnesses to replace yours (better for complete engine swap). the vtec switches work, but for better performance the VAFC is the way to go. you will have the correct air feul mixture with this.
here's a couple sites that answered most of my questions on converting to vtec:
http://hybrid2.honda-perf.org/tech/sohcvtec.html
http://crx.honda-perf.org/articles/m...torprimer.html
http://crx.honda-perf.org/articles/m...oreminime.html
one more thing... whatever your first though on the cost of this swap was; double it- everything adds up fast. but you can get VAFC's on ebay for less than 300 if you look hard. good luck
