Power steering dust boot
Hello!
Upon changing the driver side outer tie rod end, I noticed that the power steering dust boot (the accordion shaped rubber thing) is torn in half. I don't know how long it was like that, but I would like to get it replaced soon.
Is there suppose to be grease inside? Clean? Any help is great!
I found the boot, can I just replace it straight?
Thank-You!

I just did the boots on my 91 and there was a tiny bit of clean grease in them. My rack does not leak, so I'm assuming it was from the inner tie rod. My inner tie rods were smoked thus the need to remove the boots.
When removing the boots be sure and check for the small balance tube, make sure it's disconnected.
Only use OEM Honda boots, the ones that come on some rack rebuilds rot for some reason

Thanks for the reply NiceFeet.
How did you know your inner tie rod ends were smoked? I'm wondering if mine is the same way considering its age.
Technically inside the boot is supposed to be grease free? Should I apply some grease to the joint in the inner tie rod ends?
