ok, so my 92 dx has been a pita..... first i had no rear park lights only brake lights, last weekend pulled the light housings to smoke them out....

reinstall and i have no brake lights but i had rear park lights again. idk wtf is going on here. i've checked every single fuse, i've pulled the brake light switch (still good), even changed out all the bulbs (except my HID headlights).

i'm lost, and so are my buddies that have been trying to help me, if anyone has any ideas plz post them up. i'm trying to avoid pulling the wiring harness if at all possible, but IF and ONLY IF i have to, i will completely re-wire the brake system, only take bout 6 hours.... plz any help is appreciated, plus it'll keep me from driving my wife's 03 focus svt

did you accidentally swap the bulb harness from parking light and brake light?
there could be a short in the wiring from the light harness or its not getting good contact in the harness.
try an ohm meter to check resistance and a volt meter to see if theres power while the lights are on.
